Speaker Biography


Malia is a financial educator with a mission to help all individuals feel more comfortable and confident with their money and wealth building journey. She works 1:1 with individuals as well as with organizations & businesses to bring financial wellbeing resource to the workplace through hosting speaking engagements and workshops. Malia leverages her own personal finance journey to teach others through creating jargon-free and relatable conversations around budgeting, saving, debt payoff and most importantly, investing.

Summary of Presentation


It’s no secret that financial wellbeing has become just as important to individuals as physical and mental wellbeing. With the increased need for financial literacy, employees are looking for these resources at work. In this session we will discuss how we can effectively bring financial wellbeing resources our employees in a way that is comfortable, safe and easy to understand. At the end of the day – everyone wins when we are all more financially literate.

Participants should gain an increased awareness and understanding of:

(1) The need & desire for financial literacy


(2) Types of Financial Wellbeing Resources to bring to the Workplace


(3) How Financial Wellbeing Resources can be a retention tool
