Title of Presentation
How to Help Employees Develop Soft Skills Without Breaking the Budget
Summary of Presentation
Communication – Toastmasters is a nonprofit education organization that helps members build confidence in social skills, presentation skills, public speaking, impromptu speaking, networking, and giving effective feedback.
Leadership – Toastmasters’ education program and supportive club environment lets members practice leadership skills such as: building a team, motivating others, managing projects, handling conflict, and/or managing online meetings.
Members choose their own path and progress at their own rate. There are clubs all over Iowa—and the world — in communities and in companies. They provide “a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. “
Learning Objectives
Participants should gain an increased awareness and understanding of:
- Why “soft skills” are so important in the workplace.
- How Toastmasters can help meet this increasing need — with minimal cost.
- How human resources professionals can connect companies, departments, and individuals to this valuable resource.
**At the end of each EIHRA Membership meeting, our goal would be to send the presentation to all registered members. Please let us know if you are not in agreement with this.
