Speaker Biography
Stefanie and Theresa are the current co-chairs of Inclusive ICR, a corridor Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion coalition with a mission to grow diversity and inclusion in the workforce throughout the region. Stefanie is the Executive Director of the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission and Theresa is the Executive Director of The Arc of East Central Iowa. Both are passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in our community and encouraging individuals and workplaces to start, expand, and/or enhance their DEI journey.

Inclusive ICR
Summary of Presentation
Inclusive ICR is a coalition with a mission to grow diversity and inclusion in workforce throughout the ICR Iowa region. The coalition hosts full meetings per year and has monthly newsletters to provide updates on coalition projects, resources and DEI community events. Inclusive ICR is open to all employers. The assessment known as the DEI Index is a free, confidential evaluation of a company’s position through the lens of five DEI pillars. After the completion of the assessment, each organization will receive a custom summary identifying current position and opportunities for growth. Through completion of the assessment by a number of employers, the curator of the assessment will also provide a regional analysis of the strengths and opportunities to grow from a DEI perspective.
